Tobacco / Cigarette License

Wisconsin requires local businesses to obtain a tobacco/cigarette license from the municipality in which they will be conducting business.  Your first contact regarding this license is with the Village Clerk who is authorized to accept applications, process those applications, and seek administrative approval from the Village Board.  This is a one-year license for $50 that runs from July 1st to June 30th.

As a reminder, a state law went into effect on July 5, 2010 which prohibits smoking in public places, including bars.
